Which type of O-Ring seal?
Match your seal with these 3 types:
Identify your seal by matching the parts highlighted in red.
Single O-Ring Seat
The stationary seal has a single o-ring seal.
If your seal matches this then your seal is a parallel spring seal type with a single o-ring seat.
Double O-Ring Seat
The stationary seal has a distinctive double o-ring seal.
If your seal matches this then your seal is a parallel spring seal type with a double o-ring seat.
Clamp Ring Driven
The rotary seal is driven by a clamp ring at the end of the directional coil.
If your seal matches this then your seal is a clamp ring driven parallel spring seal type.
What is an 'O'-Ring seal?
The shaft seal is an elastomer 'O'-Ring. An O-ring is a loop of elastomer with a round cross-section, designed to be seated in a groove and compressed during assembly between two or more parts, forming a seal at the interface.
